You don't know what he did to me, and i tried to tell you but you didn't believe me, moreover, you blamed me, you judged me. - a survivor of sexual harassment.
Dear survivors around the world, I feel you. About the fear to deal with perpetrators, about the stigma you've to receive, about the sadness, about the shame, about the hatred and disgust. I feel you.
Too many of us, still thinking like "Don't speak up. Don't report abuse. Keep it!". That sentence dominate the reason why you still keep silent, even you are tortured, even you must fight through bitterness by alone. You feel like no one can understand. I feel you.
But listen to this: WOMEN, DON'T LET IT KILLS YOU. BREAK THE SILENCE. You need to speak up. You need to break the vicious, long-term cycle of abuse. I feel it. You are assaulted by physical, sexual, and psychological also. And it doesn't easy to recover. You don't need to feel guilty to yourself.
Enough is enough. Speak for yourself. Speak for other women who need your help and support also. LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND. Don't blame yourself. You don't need to hear negative stigma from people who judge you. Educate them. If they won't educate themselves, it's not your fault. Let them. Build positive mind. Release all hatred and anger within. Make improvements. You have to be strong to build a better future for your kids. They need education, they need to raise awareness, they must recognize all forms of oppression. Our children deserves better future. Transform the culture. We need to STOP the cycle now. An, it starts with you...
