The Dawn Attack

Hallo! Actually it's been quite long time I want to write this post, but I have too much forget than what I remember :p So, tonight, as long as I remember, I'll write little. I encountered this incident by myself. This is related with politics.

At this time, the election environment gets hotter. Many legislative candidates popping up their campaign by large billboards that displayed in some protocol streets. Not only that. In fact, individuals who declared himself as candidate president in upcoming elections, also start popping up by many media. The main media that able to reach the masses, of course, are televisi and newspaper. Blessed, for those candidates who have ubstantial capital stock in the media industry, especially in broadcasting media and print media. Surely, they have space campaign that much larger than other candidates. Although the Broadcasting Commission and the Press Council had set and stated explicitly, that media should remain professional and neutral from any political. But nonetheless, there are some media that implicitly give the pro to one candidate (ie, they are the capital owner of that media). Besides, one of dirty tricks that they used (for those who have substantial capital) is ... dawn attack using media. If you ask, how about the example? I will answer through this story below.

Our family has long subscribed to local newspaper. Every morning around 7am, paperboy will deliver to our house. I know, that the company was not only rise one newspaper brand (like what we subscribe), but there are also some brand rised by the company. If there is promo for other newspapers to promote their new brand, they will inform to customer (either by an official announcement in newspaper, or from the paperboy). The funny thing is, sometimes, I found that our newspaper subscriptions replaced with another newspaper brand (which is clearly NOT a part of brand that raised by the company). Initially, I thought there must be mistake of paperboy. But, it did not only take once, twice times. But after I met discrepancy, I suspect a "bad thing" happen here. My feeling as a communication graduate sticking, especially since I'm studying political science too, specifically the science of political communication. I feel that it related with "someone" a.k.a capital owners. I tried to do investigation by myself, if the "newspaper-exchanged" incident is repeated again, so my guess could be said getting closer to the truth.

Aaaannndddd, my guess was right! The incident happened again few days ago! Even though I asked paperboy, he would not understand, because he just took from the agent. Interestingly, it turns out the paper show profiles one candidates clearly in some pages. So? What game this is?!

Indonesia NBL 3x3 Team Goes To Valdivostok!

Great!! Finally, Indonesia NBL 3x3 Team goes to Rusia, precisely to Vladisvostok. They will represent Indonesia to attend Pacific Open basketball tournament. But in this time there ware pretty shocking thing, what is that? The answer is, the 3x3 team left without 3x3 Wijaya Saputra (guard CLS Knights) participation. Ko Wijin can't join his team because he not getting permission from the club. Dunno about the reasons of CLS Knights. This is very unfortunate news. After all, he also took part in contributed his skills so that Indonesia 3x3 Team won FIBA World 3x3 Tournament in Tokyo in 2012 ago. This is the rooster  Indonesia 3x3 Team:
  • Vinton Nolland Surawi (power forward Garuda Kukar Bandung),
  • Fandi Andhika Ramadhani (forward Dell Aspac Jakarta),
  • Rizky Effendi (forward Dell Aspac Jakarta).
And here there are photos Indonesia 3x3 Team in Tokyo 2012 ago :)

Playlist Today: It Will Rain

Hi! Now, I'll post lyrics "It Will Rain" a song from Bruno Mars that I loved. This song represents my feelings which bit messed up this time.. :')

lt Will Rain

If you ever leave me, baby,
Leave some morphine at my door
Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
To realize what we used to have,
We don't have it anymore.
There's no religion that could save me
No matter how long my knees are on the floor, oh
So keep in mind all the sacrifices I'm making
To keep you by my side
And keep you from walking out the door.
Cause there'll be no sunlight
if I lose you, baby
There'll be no clear skies
if I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds,
my eyes will do the same if you walk away
Everyday, it will rain,
rain, rain
I'll never be your mother's favorite
ah ,Your daddy can't even look me in the eye
Oooh if I were in their shoes, I'd be doing the same thing
Saying there goes my little girl
walking with that troublesome guy
But they're just afraid of something they can't understand
Oooh well little darling watch me change their minds
Yeah for you I'll try, I'll try, I'll try, I'll try
I'll pick up these broken pieces 'til I'm bleeding
If that'll make it right
Cause there'll be no sunlight
if I lose you, baby
There'll be no clear skies
if I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds,
my eyes will do the same if you walk away
Everyday, it will rain,
rain, rain
Ooooh Don't just say
goodbye, don't just say, goodbye
I'll pick up these broken pieces 'til I'm bleeding
If that'll make it right
Cause there'll be no sunlight
if I lose you, baby
There'll be no clear skies
if I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds,
my eyes will do the same if you walk away
Everyday, it will rain,
rain, rain, rain...

Black Campaign in Independence Day Celebrations

Sorry if this time I wrote bit thing that smells political. However, I learned lot about politics in college. Ok, start from one activities in my hometown. The event was organized by citizens to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day. So last month.

Incidentally, I was one activists in my neighborhood. So, I have contributed as committee in some events. Before, we worked hard to raise funds from some events too. We also raise some funds from citizens, without limiting the amount. Until we collected sum money that we need for organizing event. Finally, came the day when event was held. But from some meetings which held before, there are some peculiarity person. When we were getting set up decorations for event which held in the evening, what we found were very miserable. How did not? The decorations which supposed to be filled with "knick-knacks" of Indonesia Independence Day (such as red-white flags, symbols of independence celebrations, etc) become an arena for displaying attributes of one political party. GREAT!

There are one person who had power, which tried to occupy the event, and setting up into a black campaign for one Major Candidates. We've been trying to get rid some attributes (one of the most striking are the PICTURE of candidates). Whatever the power we had, it turns out "he" was set up the event such-that, and-so-did the event was aimed (did not else and did not instead of) to CAMPAIGN The Candidates! In fact, since beginning, "this people" volunteered himself became MC event. It turns out, the event led to "the mass hypnosis process". Well..... I thought this guy bit SICK! And the fact was true.
I personally condemned party which hijacking public funds for benefit of the party!!

Soekarno, Interviewed by Cindy Adams

Who don't know about Soekarno? You, the reader from Indonesia nor from the other countries? Yes, Soekarno is so well known in international relations in his time served as the first president of Indonesia. He was so respected by the world leaders. He is the only precident who dared to declare his state out of the United Nations during World War II. He mastered 7 languages, which makes him easier to get along with so many Heads of State around the world. Besides an authoritative, he also very strict. And so does the charm of Soekarno in our country, Indonesia. He's very charismatic. Everybody know, that his rhetoric is so incredible, able to burn the spirit of Indonesian people. But, the thing I remember when I studied Historical Science in high school is .. the opposite of that history. Very miserable. You know, history books that I loved, turned out a set of fictitious. That's all.

Guess, what subjects I liked most current high school? Yea, Historical Science. I'm always excited by learning about history of my country. And the incredible things that I record when I was sitting on class 2 in high school, is several books and "narrative history that I heard from my teacher" about Soekarno. Then, some books that I read, tells all about the "dictatorship" of Soekarno in recent years, until he deposted by politics when his rhetoric "Nawaksara" rejected by the panel. It feels like, what makes me excited to learn about Indonesia History, suddenly became "grim" because of  that "the black dots" of history I learned at that time. (Note: Learned by the books and my teacher). And, historical stories that I held over the years, all become fade. Until when I was in college, I got a book from my uncle, the book that changed everything paradigm about Soekarno and history of the nation. That's all. This book made me realize that there are so many hidden historical facts and they recycled into "new history" by the powerful elements.

And yesterday, in the afternoon, I was watching one of television channels, I accidentally found review of Soekarno. And you know what I found??? Truly incredible!! They play interview recorded of Soekarno by cindy adams, author of the book! I found remarkable historical fact that "deviated" from what I received in high school years ago. See???

He's so charmy

When he made speech in front of the crowd, all people silently listening. Amazing! Look, how many people in front of him. He is very perfect on rhetoric.

Soekarno and JF Kennedy,

So astonishingly when Soekarno speaking in front of world leaders.

But he's also a humorous figure.

His speech "Indonesia Menggugat", such pledoi of Soekarno in front of International Court, over what he stood for independence of Indonesia

Quote Of The Day: 310713

Stalking. Sometimes can be annoying, sometimes can be so fun. In my word, it depends on how we control the emotions anyway. Just how do we take the positive impact and the negative impact, besides. I love stalking friend's account, and there is that I found:

You can break other people, even if you are broken.
So don't be sad because you're too faithfully for love.

The most important thing is faithful to love itself. Because if you are faithful to "human", you can be skeptical when it hurt badly.

The Decision To Wear Hijab

Assalamualaikum,

Here I share story about hijab. I take in general point of view, not just for Muslim / Muslimah, it's to be understood by all people.
Hijab. Jilbab. Kerudung. Tudung. Whatsoever it called. These the meaning of Hijab that I put from Wikipedia source:
Hijab (Arabic: حجاب hijab) is the Arabic word meaning barrier. In some Arabic-speaking countries and Western countries, the word "hijab" is more often used to refer to the veil by Muslim women. But in Islam, hijab refers to appropriate procedures of dress-up in religious beliefs. Dress-up, it means not only by the look but also the things that hide by look. I mean, about religious.

I was a little hurt by one of my friend who told me like that: "It signifies the character your hijab. today more and more women Muslim wear hijab, but their behavior is same as those people who do not wear hijab. Seen, the artists, they rushed to wear hijab, for them, the meaning of hijab was no more than a FASHION".

HEY, her opinion very very very conservative. The matter of wearing hijab is the duty of Muslimah. The matter "behavior" of those who wear hijab, it is NOT a part of the hijab CHARACTER. NOTE it!

Because I didn't want to extend our debate, I only wrote these in my twitter:

"Sorry. My hijab was not like a character. My hijab was religious beliefs."

and these too:

"Covering is simple. But believing is the main thing. Selamat berbuka."

Bye!

"More Half Century of Ndalem Martanan That Shape Me and My Principles, as Bening Rahardjo". [PART 1]

This post is English translation of my post Ndalem Martanan and Me {PART 1}
I aimed this to the readers outside Indonesia. Enjoy! :)

Bening Rahardjo, so that's how I call myself. My pretty first name (Bening) given by my uncle (mom's brother) when he was sailing. While my last name (Rahardjo) is the last name of my biological father. I use it after he died early 2009, I try to keep honor him as the biological father. Although since born, I was not with him, and just enjoyed a short meeting before he died. However, the blood relationship between father and daughter remained there even I get married. I declare myself as a woman who found independence in her life. I grow up healthy, Alhamdulillah, something worth and I'm thankful for that. Although in 2006, there was little disruption in my health. The disruption was so greatly influenced to my daily activities, which requires me 'must tolerate' my physical condition. However, I still thankful for all, as a form of personal affection from Allah Subhanahuwata'ala. A specialist who handle me always comforting with his jokes, though I think himself was too old, and more worthy of being entertained than me. First, before entering the operating room in mid-2008, with that condition, I was very submissive, even I dunno have the heart to say something to my mom. I was so worried for "life" because I really love my family. In fact, it seems I had turn my anxiety to God.

Before entering the operating room, I asked the doctor of anesthesia:
"Doctor, if God was Great Creator in this life, why HE did not create a reset button to his servant uh?".

The doctor who actually had made an agreement with mom, (because my condition is not stable) he was not sure that the operation will be run easily, then he answer my stupid questions with his wise, and this is what makes me always thankful for my health condition which until now unstable sometimes:
"My young lady, God has created a tremendous reset button in our lives, it's called the pain. Because without feeling pain, we will never change.."
I thought, what he said could be drawn generally, not merely in health issues, but also our lives. Yes, pain or pleasure in our life, all should be grateful. I'm really grateful to dr. Purwanto, Sp.An. which had given me the wise sentence, which very useful to form myself become a person who always grateful, optimistic and stay motivated.

I'm thankful with my life and all those who have accompanied me--I call them, family. Mom, a major woman who will always be honored in my life, which her limitations in providing the best education for me. The Grandpa and Grandma who prepared myself to face all the changes and face the hard life. All the wisdom will never fade during my life adventure to reach the goal, adversity and achievement. All of there which are in a simple and comfortable place, which we call Ndalem Martanan---is that all---were so fabulous inspiring. Without abandoning the past, they are still working hard to carve out the future. Their goal is to provide a place that serves every person to live in dignity with himself, there is no room for parochialism, or to act irresponsible and incorrect.

If a lot of people ask me, why it was like I forget my hometown. Why am I so arrogant to be able to socialize again there, like most people who are back home from overseas. Usually there is a reason why people do or do not something. For me, to live in the town, evoking painful memories of the past. Something bitter in the past, which will never be understood by anyone. At night I often could not sleep because of extreme depression hide away in overseas. It happens every time I remember my hometown, a small village with a lot of bitter stories in it. I do not forget anything, nope. Because Ndalem Martanan, where I grew up and raised until 18 years, I still love the whole. Although Ndalem Martanan located on side of the road that connecting district area, the building is still standing strong and being part of village. I also feel, while I  staying there, then I will not thrive. With all the character of parochialism in the past, I had deeply hurt, so for me personally it is natural that I become arrogant because of my pain. That's all the reason. For me, the residence of each person is in their future, not in the past. Various challenges are productive, fulfilling life and exciting. Then, why should they travel to the past that will only arouse bitter-sore of old memories?

I'm trying to forget the bitterness. Initially I failed. For example, this happened a while ago after I suffered a long period of depression. I feel cheated outright by a friend, just because of text sentence yes / no. Such angry, I threw up a very harsh sentence, as hard as my principles---do not be "dumeh" people (feel you are the most). And he feel very offended by me, and our relationship was not so good. Although I have tell him a genuine apology, even I explained the main reasons why that sentence was to be thrown away from me. But, no response. Never mind. I quite understand and tolerate it. I hope that will go better as before.  Obviously, this also makes a lesson for me, to be able to be elegant, realistic and no talk nonsense. Because people who educated and respectable, would not hurt their pride just for stupid words.
